  I grew up going here and it's a great church. And to address a comment about the 15% "tax" that a previous gentlemen left about the harvest moon bazaar (which is fabulous btw), each year the bazar us held to benefit the women's ministries and I'm pretty sure it's explained in information when you sign up to be a part of it.

  I just started attending this church as a visitor one year ago and find it a very inspirational church. I can feel the Holy Spirit is working at Good Shepherd Community Church and hope to participate in more functions sponsored by the actively heroic church members! God is Good! All the Time!!!

  It wasn't a service or pastor, but the greediness of this church for it's "Holiday" bazaar. Not only do they charge a table fee (perfectly ok as this is standard practice for farmer's markets, bazaars, etc), however they also tack on a 15% fee on all sales. Seriously? How about if this church takes a hard look at Matt 21:12? If I'm back next year (doubtful) I'm tacking on a 15% surcharge and when customers ask why, I'm going to inform them about this churches greediness.

• Review of "Hood View Junior Academy" at Boring

  This is such a great school! I have kiddos in preschool, now pre-kindergarten, and first grade and this is thier first year at this school. I could not be happier! Both my boys love going to school here and really enjoy the after care program. My 1st grader had a hard time at his last school because most of the kids knew eachother already and would not play with him. He had an amazing teacher there but even her attempts to help keep him from sitting alone during recess were not successful. He was hesitant in starting a new school. I was so ecstatic when he came back from his first day at HVJA with a HUGE smile telling me about all his new friends!!! The kids here are friendly and VERY accepting of new kids. I have even watched how wonderful they are towards other kids with disabilities. Likewise the parents have been very friendly and encouraging offering help if needed. The teachers here are friendly and are great with the kids. They have art, P.E., music, piano lessons if you want, a library, full gym, before and after care if needed, and daily hot lunch options. I'm glad we found this school and HIGHLY recommend it!!!
